How Nisayon Works
Nisayon offers a flexible, personalized approach to Jewish learning, allowing families to build their own educational journey. Instead of attending traditional weekly classes, students participate in a variety of experiential learning opportunities throughout the year. Each activity earns points in three key areas of Jewish life:
-
Torah (100 points): Engaging with Jewish texts, history, and traditions through interactive learning experiences.
-
Avodah (125 points): Deepening Jewish practice through prayer, holiday observance, and spiritual experiences.
-
Gemilut Chasadim (75 points): Performing acts of kindness, community service, and social justice initiatives.
Families can choose from a wide range of courses, programs, and experiences that fit their schedules and interests. Opportunities may include workshops, retreats, family learning experiences, social action projects, youth group events, and more. Each pathway offers multiple ways to engage, ensuring that every student can find meaningful and enjoyable ways to earn their points.
To remain enrolled in Nisayon, students must complete their point requirements each year. Our team is here to help families navigate the program and find the right opportunities to make their learning journey successful and fulfilling.
