Jordan Magidson
Director of Youth Education & Programming
Jordan has been leading the fun at Temple Beth Shalom since 2016 as the Director of Youth Education and Programming, overseeing all things K-12, including the Religious School and Hebrew school. Originally from Detroit, she earned a BA from Michigan State and an MA in Jewish Education from HUC-JIR. Before landing in Austin, she brought hands-on Jewish learning to communities in Seattle and the South. When she’s not dreaming up exciting programs, you can find her exploring Austin and Marfa with her husband and their two dogs.
Gabe Komerofsky
Assistant Director of Youth Education + Programming
Gabe Komerofsky is a third generation Jewish Professional with a passion for Jewish education. He has several years of experience working as an educator and program coordinator throughout many Jewish organizations in San Antonio and Austin.
He is a San Antonio native and an Alumni of the University of Texas where he studied Psychology and graduated in 2022. He also has deep ties to Austin, spending much of his childhood there as a Temple Beth Shalom member. He is currently pursuing his Master’s in Jewish Professional Studies from the Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership in Chicago.
He is dedicated to lifelong learning and is inspired to instill those values in younger generations.
