Lights, Camera, Judaism! In this fun and thought-provoking elective, students will watch scenes, clips, and full feature-length films that explore Jewish values, identity, history, and culture. From animated favorites to coming-of-age dramas and modern Jewish comedies, we’ll dive into big questions like: What makes a story Jewish? How do characters wrestle with right and wrong? Where do we see our own experiences reflected on screen?
Each session includes time to watch, discuss, and reflect—plus creative activities like writing reviews, designing posters, or imagining alternate endings. No film expertise required—just a love of movies and a willingness to think deeply, laugh together, and share your voice!
